Vivid is hiring an inspector and tester for CDOT construction projects in the Colorado Springs area. You will perform routine inspection and testing of concrete, soils, masonry, and asphalt to verify that work meets the plans and specifications, and document what you find in daily field reports. Shifts are 8 hours, with weekends as needed.
What you will do
- Inspect and test concrete, soils, masonry, and asphalt for compliance with plans and specifications
- Run soil classification, sieve analysis, gradation, and moisture content tests
- Prepare clear daily field reports
- Work 8-hour shifts, with weekends as project schedules require
What you bring
- One or more of: WAQTC, ACI Field Level 1, ACI Lab or Strength, or CAPA A/B/C/E/I certification
- CDOT Plan Reading, Math, Survey, and ATSER certifications
- One year of CDOT construction experience preferred
- Clean driving record
- Able to pass a drug test and UPRR, BNSF, and DIA background checks
