Church Ranch Corporate Center Environmental Assessment

Commercial

Clearing the way for a historic site's next chapter.

The Church Ranch Corporate Center sits on a property with more than 120 years of history — barns, silos, farmhouses, and office buildings that Dominium Development & Acquisition purchased with the goal of preserving the site’s character while redeveloping it for new businesses. Before that could happen, the environmental condition of both the land and the buildings had to be understood and cleared.

Vivid Engineering supported Braun Intertec over three years of work on the site, beginning with a Phase I Environmental Site Assessment. A subsequent Phase II ESA identified soil and groundwater contamination from a previously removed underground storage tank; Vivid’s follow-on subsurface investigations defined the groundwater plume, with approval from the Colorado Division of Oil and Public Safety, allowing Braun Intertec to secure a “No Further Action” determination from the State. Vivid also performed hazardous building materials assessments on multiple structures, including the historic barn and silo — sampling for asbestos, lead-based paint, PCBs, and mercury and delivering reports with abatement recommendations — so the redevelopment could proceed safely.
